This is the final preview of Android 8.1 Oreo and supports Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL, Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel C, Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X). Users who are opt-in for Android Beta program will get the OTA update that updates your device to Android 8.1 without losing data. If you prefer manual installation, factory images are now available for download at Android downloads page. Besides the latest optimizations, general bug fixes, and the November 2017 security patch updates, Android 8.1 Oreo Developer Preview 2 includes optimizations for Android Go (for devices with 1GB or less of memory), as well as Neural Networks API (accelerate on-device machine intelligence) and Pixel Visual Core. It seems that Google will launch stable version of Android 8.1 Oreo in December (not yet confirmed). However, early adopters can test out it right now. Factory images for Android 8.1 DP 2 (build number OPP6.171019.012) are now available for download, which you can flash manually on supported devices.
