Open Android Market application and Tap on the Menu button (usually locate on the bottom left of your phone). Now tap on ‘My apps’ from the pop-up menu (see screenshot)
You will see the list of apps installed on your android device.
Tap on any app, for example Google Map that you want to disable automatic update. Scroll down and look for “Allow automatic updating” selected. Just uncheck this option. That’s it.
Note: Repeat the same step as above for all other apps for which you want to disable automatic updates.
