However, there is already an app available at Play Store that brings the screen-recording feature to your Android 4.4 KitKat powered phone, without the need to fiddle around with the ADB.
The app is easy to use. First, install the Android 4.4 Screen Record app from the Play store and open it once it has been installed, then choose video resolution, recording time, bitrate and countdown timer and tap “Record” button. Anything that happens on your screen will be part of the video, including you using an app or even playing a game. Your recorded video will be saved in /sdcard/ScreenRecorder. Please note that, this app requires root access to install. If you are interested, you can download the app free from Play Store.
