This unofficial CyanogenMod 11 custom ROM allows users to run Android 4.4 on their Galaxy S GTI-9000. Here is how to install CM 11 ROM on Galaxy S. Prerequisites: – Backup your phone data (contacts, sms, etc.) and also make Nandroid Backup – Samsung Galaxy S must be rooted and CWM Custom Recovery installed – CM 11 ROM zip file (download) and Gapps zip file (download) Instruction:

  1. Download the latest CM 11 ROM zip file and the Gapps zip file and transfer both to your Galaxy S’s SD card.
  2. Turn off your device and boot into recovery mode, then perform “wipe cache partition” and then “wipe data/factory reset”.
  3. Now, from recovery select “install zip from SD card”, then “select zip from SD card” and then choose the CM 11 ROM zip file.
  4. Once reboot your phone, boot it again into recovery mode, choose “install zip from SD card” and then “select zip from SD card” and choose the Gapps zip file. After the installation is complete, reboot your device. You have successfully installed CM 11 ROM (Android 4.4) on your Samsung Galaxy S (GT-I9000). Enjoy!
