Honor 8C was released in 2018, October with Android 8.1 Oreo (EMUI 8.2) out of the box. The new software update brings several improvements to the device. An added feature of this update (B130) is ViLTE (video over LTE) video calling feature. This update will also improve the low light photography.

Once the OTA update is live for Honor 8C, you can go through the following steps to capture the latest OTA update and install it. Before proceeding, ensure that your device has more than 50% battery.
- Make sure your device is running on software version 8.2.0.106
- Go to Settings app and select “System”.
- Choose “System updates”.
- If the February update is live in your region, you will see an “Install Now” option. The OTA update size is around 354MB, so ensure a good network connection for smooth updating of the phone.
