Recently, Samsung upgraded Galaxy S8, S8 Plus, Galaxy Note 8, Galaxy A3, A5 and A7 (2017) to Android Oreo. Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge Oreo update comes with April 2018-security patch, several value added features like PIP mode, revamped notifications shade, autofill script, etc, performance boost and general bug fixes.
Currently, the Galaxy S7/S7 Edge Oreo update (G930FXXU2ERD5) will be available in the UK and Ireland (unlocked and Vodafone). The update for other region is imminent. The OTA update will take a few days to reach on every device. If you have not received the notification for this update, check it manually by going to Settings > About Phone > Software Update. How to Install Android Oreo update on Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge Via Odin
Caution: – The procedure will not trigger the Knox counter, but your device’s warranty may void. – Do not install one region firmware on other region – Before proceeding, we recommended to perform necessary backups.
Download Galaxy S7 SM-G930F and Galaxy S7 Edge SM-G935F Oreo update file from Sammobile or using Sarmfirm tool. Download latest version of Odin (v3.13.) and unzip it. Unzip the downloaded firmware file (If it is a 4 file firmware, then see this guide). Reboot your Phone in Download Mode (press and hold Home + Power + Volume Down buttons) and then connect it to your PC. Run Odin.exe file, wait until you get a blue sign in Odin and then add the firmware file to AP / PDA Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked. If everything is OK, click the Start button and wait until you see Pass message in Odin.
