Like most Gallery apps, there is no dedicated option to hide private photos and videos in Google Photos app, yet, there is an option not to show your photos and videos in the main album view. You can use the Archive feature to quarantine your private photos and videos from the main album feed. Once you archive your photos and videos, it will disappear from the main album view. All your archived photos and videos will move to another folder. To access your hide photos and videos in Google Gallery, open the app, tap on the Hamburger menu and tap on Archive. Yes, this feature doesn’t have a Password or Fingerprint authentication protection, but it comes handy if you don’t like to install a third-party app to password protect your personal photos or videos. Google may add password protection feature to the Photos app in a future update. At present the above given method is the only solution, if you don’t like to install a third-party app on your phone.
