In this guide, we will guide you through how to install Xiaomi Mi A1 ROM (build N2G47H 7.9.21) on Redmi Note 4 Snapdragon variant (code named mido). Thanks to the developer GLokin666, the ported Mi A1 firmware is almost stable, except Fingerprint and IR remote control. Both features are not working as expected. The ROM includes September 2017 security patches and all Google apps. As you may know, for installing the ported ROM, your Redmi Note 4 bootloader must be unlocked and require latest version of TWRP recovery on the phone. Check this guide for details. How to Install Mi A1 Ported ROM (N2G47H 7.9.21) on Redmi Note 4 (mido)
- Download Mi A1 ported ROM zip file [here] [development page] and save it on your device.
- Boot your device into TWRP recovery, select backup and make a Nandroid backup.
- In TWRP recovery, does a full system wipe. Tap Wipe > Advanced Wipe and Wipe data / Factory reset, Wipe cache, Wipe dalvik cache.
- Now, return to main TWRP menu, select Install, navigate to ROM zip file and swipe to flash.
- Once the flashing process is completed, return to TWRP main menu, once again select Wipe and wipe cache and dalvik cache, and then reboot your phone. The first boot will more time. Once booted up, set up your device, and enjoy! Any question? Leave it in the comment section (Source – XDA)
