Announced in March 2018, Huawei P20 features company’s latest EMUI 8.1, Notch display, Leica triple camera, Hisilicon Kirin 970 processor, 128 GB storage, 4 GB RAM and more. The device also features Navigation dock, Face Unlock, Smart Assistance, Motion Control, Knuckle gestures and more.
Comes to the new software update, the 8.1.0.120 (C605) update will improve overall performance of Huawei P20 EML-L29, so the company strongly recommends updating to this version. Below is what is new in this update:

If you have not received the OTA notification for EMUI 8.1 update on Huawei P20, then check it manually by going to Settings > About Phone > System Updates > check for the new firmware. In addition, keep in mind that this update will not erase your personal data, but it is recommend that you back up any important data before updating. Manual Installation: Technically talented owners of P20 can download the EML-L29 8.1.0.120 (C605) update file and install it manually. The update is currently available on Huawei servers that you can download and flash through dload method.
