Official LineageOS 15.1 is comes with new features and visual changes, alongside native Oreo features. Now, you can set custom accent color for light or dark theme, enable auto-switching for light and dark theme with LiveDisplay, auto-change color theme of your device depending on your current wallpaper with Automagic and more.
The default Trebuchet Launcher has also been revamped in LineageOS 15.1 with new features and optimizations. The launcher now supports icon packs, adaptive icon supports for all LOS apps, ability to choose icon shape (circle, super ellipse, squircle and teardrop) as per your needs and more. Another new feature of LineageOS 15.1 is Snap camera’s QR support. The camera can now read QR-encoded URLs, plain text, SMS, email addresses, contacts cards, events, phone numbers and location coordinates. How to upgrade to LineageOS 15.1
If your device is running on official LineageOS 14.1, you can install the update via Updator app. Other users need to download and flash the ROM via TWRP recovery. Also, you need to download proper add-ons packages (GApps, su…) for Oreo 8.1 (8.0 packages are not compatible). (Source – LineageOS)
