Oneplus 5 And 5T Receive October Security Update With Stable Oxygenos 5 1 6

OxygenOS 5.1.6 update is rolling out via OTA. Since the roll out is incremental, it will take a few hours or even a few days to get on all OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T. If you cannot wait for the OTA, you can also download and install the update manually.

Here is the official changelog. In case you cannot wait for the OTA, we suggest using any VPN app and setting the region to Canada or Germany to get the OTA update early. Alternatively, we suggest trying using the Oxygen Updater app get the OxygenOS 5.1.6 OTA update right now on your phone. To install the full ROM manully, download OxygenOS 5.1.6 for OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T from OnePlus download section. After downloading the update file, install the update via stock recovery as described below.
