The system-wide dark mode is a feature of Android 10, but Xiaomi deploys it well in Android 9 devices. The dark mode in Redmi Note 8/Note 8 Pro will turn many system apps and system UI elements into a true dark or dark gray from the blinding white, but not all apps are supports. To enable dark mode in Redmi Note 8/Note 8 Pro, go to Settings > tap on Display > and tap on the Dark Mode toggle to turn on it. Note that the dark mode won’t turn every apps and elements into the dark. Some apps, for example, WhatsApp, won’t support the dark theme. The good news is that Google has already shifted most of its apps, including the Play Store, into dark mode.
