Unrooting Galaxy Note 3 and returning back to stock firmware is relatively a simple process, but requires little long time to complete. Also, it’ll wipe your device, so backup your phone data such as personal files, images, videos, messages, emails, contacts, apps, SMS, Contacts, Call Logs, Bookmarks, etc. Pre-requisites:

  1. Enable USB debugging mode on your device.
  2. Make sure your Galaxy Note 3 is fully charged.
  3. Install USB driver for Note 3 on your Windows PC or install Samsung Keis.
  4. Check your Note 3’s model number. The model number will vary based on carriers, region and processor. To check it, go to your phone Settings – General – About and check Model number. Note down the firmware number in safe place.
  5. Download appropriate stock firmware for Note 3 from below links. Save the firmware file on your desktop and extract the content. To do so, switch off it, press, and hold Volume Down + Home + Power buttons together. When the screen turns up, hit the Volume Up button. – Now, connect your device to the PC via USB cable and run the ODIN on your PC. You should see blue sign in Odin screen, otherwise check driver installation and USB cable. – On ODIN, click the PDA button, and select the firmware file that you download above with “tar.md5”. – Check the boxes “Auto Reboot”, “F. Reset Time” and “PDA” and make sure “re-partition” is NOT enabled. – If everything ok, hit the “Start” button on ODIN. Once the process completes, Note 3 will reboot automatically. For the first time, it will take some time to boot. That’s it.
