The developer says that the MIUI 9 will be technologies breakthroughs, but not much information about the ROM is available now. It will be simplified and optimized OS. In order to achieve this, the development team removed many rarely used features like Child Mode, Contact Card, Showtime, WiWide and more from MIUI 9.
Based on the Android Nougat (Android 7.1.1), MIUI 9 comes with various new usability features and functions like redesigned Lock screen shortcut, split-screen feature, Dock Bar, etc. to enhance user’s experience. MIUI 9 will include 3 new themes (No Boundary, Color Fantasy and Cool Black) besides the default theme. Each theme brings a unique look the handset with icons and wallpapers. Note that Xiaomi Mi 6, Redmi Note 4 Qualcomm and Redmi Note 4X will be the first list of devices to get MIUI 9 Beta. The second list includes Xiaom Mi 2 and Mi 2S.
