In this guide, we will show you how to install CyanogenMod 13 (Android 6.0) on LG G3 Beat. CyanogenMod has released CM13 Nightly for LG G3 Beat and for few other mid-range LG smartphones, such as LG G2 Mini and LG Optimus L70 that brings Marshmallow and enables users to customize their phone completely.
Before you get start, we remind you that the current status of CM 13 for LG G3 Beat is Nightly, which means the ROM is unstable, buggy and may not have full features. However, previous experience shows that the CM nightly builds are typically reliable that many users do not mind facing a few issues.
How to install CyanogenMod 13 on LG G3 Beat
- Your device should be rooted and have latest version of TWRP recovery installed on it. If not, follow this guide [HERE]
- Download official CM13 Rom for LG G3 Beat (jagnm) [HERE] and Android 6 compatible Gapps package [HERE].
- Save both CM13 ROM zip file and Gaps zip file to your phone’s SD card.
- Reboot your phone into TWRP recovery. To do so, switch off your phone and hold Volume down & Power buttons. When the LG logo appears, release the buttons and then press them again. Then, press the Power button three times.
- In recovery, select backup option, and then make a backup of your current ROM.
- Now, perform wipe data/factory reset, cache partition and dalvik cache. Select ‘Wipe’ option to perform the wipe.
- In recovery, tap on Install and select the CM13 zip file. Then, slide the button on the bottom to start the flashing process. Do the same for Gapps as well.
