The MIUI 11 is scheduled to release on October 22, 2019, globally and in the first phase (October 22 – 31), 13 devices will get the update, which covers Redmi K20, Poco F1, and Redmi Note 7/7Pro/7S, Mi 9SE, Redmi 7A, Mi 8 and Mi MIX 3. The MIUI 11 will be based on Android 9 or Android 10 (depending on devices). No visual clutter, powerful gestures, and spotlight on the content are the main mantra of the update. MIUI 11 new features:
New Minimalistic design: Xiaomi removed unnecessary visual elements of the user interface to give a minimalistic look to MIUI 11. Charming Lock screen: New customizable AOD (always-on display) with dynamic clock, ever-changing kaleidoscope/rhythmic wave dial, and special effects that accompany incoming notifications bring a beautiful look to lock screen. Computer-level document viewer and wireless printing: The new Mi Doc Viewer works with any document (.pdf, .doc, .ppt, .xls, etc.) stored on your phone. MIUI 11 allows you to print photos and documents wirelessly without installing additional apps. New calculator app: The new calculator app supports eight more calculations. You can use it to calculate age, discounts, taxes, and more. In MIUI 11, you can also minimize the calculator and use it without switching between apps. Women Health: This is a new calendar feature of MIUI 11 for specific countries. It lets you track menstrual cycles, and shows notifications and suggested dates of the next period. This feature will be available in India, Indonesia, and Spain. MIUI 11 Release schedule and supported devices
Xiaomi will release MIUI 11 on October 22, 2019, globally for the first batch of devices. The first batch includes Redmi Note 7/7Pro, 7S, Redmi K20, Poco F1, etc. Note that the update schedule may change. Xiaomi will update your device via OTA.
